Tara Barney, E-REP CEO
One More Reason to Fly EVV

Our local airport continually blazes the customer service trail to ensure a more inclusive and accommodating travel experience For EVVeryone. We are grateful for the level of service the teams at Evansville Regional Airport offer travelers, and with EVV’s new collection of programs recently unveiled at a significant media event, the seamless, efficient EVV experience that we all love will only be enhanced.

EVV’s new accessibility programs specifically target a large demographic of our population experiencing hidden disabilities, or disabilities that are invisible like autism, anxiety, PTSD and chronic illness. These programs include global initiatives like the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program. The Sunflower Program offers free branded accessories to airport guests to discreetly self-identify that they may require additional support or time while passing through the airport. EVV also announced two additional programs designed to bring comfort and calm to travelers – sensory tool kits that are now available at various customer touch points throughout the airport and a new airport therapy dog partnership with Therapy Dogs International to commence in early 2023.

More than 100 airport employees campus-wide – from TSA to EVV’s airlines and restaurant to airport customer service, safety and operations teams – have trained on the programs. This further demonstrates our airport’s commitment to our region’s travelers and provides even more excellent opportunities for travelers, regardless of ability, to experience care and compassion and an enhanced quality of life, truly living out our city’s “e is for everyone” culture and Evansville’s Ability Indiana “Ability City” designation.

I invite you to learn more about our airport’s offerings via EVV’s accessible-friendly website at https://flyevv.com/forevveryone. Share these local amenities with your friends and family members who may be visiting the Evansville Region this holiday season.

Happy holiday travels and local cheer!
