The Institute for Economic Equity’s next Conversations on Equity event will explore the state of economic equity for LGBTQ+ individuals. For this discussion, Institute Director Dr. William M. Rodgers III will be joined by Dr. M.V. Lee Badgett of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In addition, Sophia Scott will share recent research that describes LGBTQ+ individuals’ income, wealth, financial stability and mental health outcomes compared with their straight or cisgender peers.

Join the conversation to hear more about:
• Potential definitions for what economic equity entails
• The business case for LGBTQ+ economic equity
• How income, wealth, financial stability and mental well-being vary for those who identify as LGBTQ+ relative to their straight or cisgender peers
• How shortcomings in data visibility can limit our understanding of the outcomes for and needs of LGBTQ+ individuals
