Latino Professional Development Series

The Evansville Region has adopted the E is for Everyone brand as an aspirational statement of what our community wants to become. Great strides have been made since then in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, but there is still a lot more to be accomplished in transforming organizational cultures from within.

HOLA, a non-profit created in 2002 to enhance appreciation of cultural diversity and promote the successful inclusion of Latinos in the community, has partnered with Ivy Tech Community College, University of Evansville, University of Southern Indiana, Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana, and EREP to develop a comprehensive leadership series with the outcome of providing participants with the leadership and advocacy skills to shape organizational culture.

The HOLA Latino Professional Development Series is a comprehensive program delivered by faculty members from the three higher education partners in combination with keynote speakers. Participants will have six one-day sessions, rotating between the three institutions, over a period of a year and culminating in a graduation ceremony.

HOLA would like to invite our regional employers and employees to engage in a Latino Professional Development Series that will equip business professionals in the greater Tri-State area. We are looking for Latino Leaders that are interested in advancing and refining their portfolio of personal and professional skills. This series will be delivered in a collaborative format from USI, UE, and Ivy Tech over 6 one-day sessions and will cover topics such as Organizational Leadership, Crisis/Change Management, DEI and Belonging, and Innovation.

The inaugural group will kick off at Ivy Tech Community College on July 14th, 2022.
