Town of Newburgh Launches Parking Study and Seeks Community Input

NEWBURGH, Ind (April 30, 2025) — The Town of Newburgh is conducting a comprehensive parking study to evaluate current parking conditions and identify potential improvements to support residents, businesses, and visitors. As part of this initiative, the town is actively seeking input from the community to help shape future parking solutions.

The parking study will assess on-street and off-street parking availability, usage patterns, signage, and accessibility throughout key areas of the Town of Newburgh, including the historic downtown district. The goal is to ensure that parking is safe, efficient, and supportive of Newburgh’s growth and charm.

“We want to hear from those who live, work, and spend time in Newburgh,” said Stacie Krieger, Town Council President. “Public feedback is critical to understanding how our current parking system is working — and where we can do better.”

Community members are invited to participate in a short online survey and share their experiences, concerns, and suggestions. The survey is available on the town’s official website at www.newburgh-in.com. In addition to the survey, the town will have pop up booths downtown on May 14th and 15th where residents can learn more about the study, speak with planning staff, and provide direct input.

For more information about the parking study or to take the survey, please visit www.newburgh-in.com or the town’s Facebook page.
