Through strategic efforts to attract new residents, we’re strengthening our economy, enriching our communities, and building momentum for even greater success in the years ahead.

• 72 new households, 176 individuals now call the Evansville Region home.
• 47% of newcomers had no prior connection to the region, bringing fresh talent and economic growth.
• 48% purchased homes locally, further embedding themselves in the community.
• 53% were returnees, proving Evansville remains a place people are proud to call home.
• New residents relocated from coast-to-coast: 26 states, including New York, California, Texas, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Florida and Arizona—showcasing our national appeal.
• The average wage of incoming talent is $110,400, demonstrating the program’s role in boosting regional prosperity.

Looking Ahead: 2026 and Beyond

Building on this success, we’re developing a strategy to welcome 30+ new households to the Evansville region in 2026 through our Belong Here program. By attracting skilled professionals who can work from anywhere, we’re ensuring Evansville remains a top choice for those seeking affordability, connection, and opportunity.

Our 2026 goal: Relocate 30+ workers (remote workers and traditional) and their families to Evansville—strengthening our workforce and fueling regional growth.
