For more than 75 years, Lic’s Ice Cream has been a beloved Tri-State staple, serving generations of families while manufacturing its premium ice cream right here in Evansville. Since purchasing the company in 2025, owner Jodi Ashby has been focused on preserving Lic’s rich history while positioning the business for future growth.
E-REP’s Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) team recently visited Lic’s alongside partners from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), CenterPoint Energy, and the Southwest Indiana Workforce Board. During the visit, the team toured Lic’s downtown manufacturing facility and discussed the company’s plans to expand its wholesale operations, strengthen workforce development, enhance leadership training, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Lic’s continues to blend tradition with innovation—maintaining the same high-quality ice cream generations have enjoyed while exploring new products, expanding markets, and investing in the future of the business.
