The Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP), along with partners from the Southwest Indiana Workforce Board, Success Warrick County, and Duke Energy, recently visited Phenix Specialty Films in Elberfeld as part of E-REP’s ongoing Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) program. Representatives from Phenix Specialty Films, including Dusty Wilson and Kristal Epley, welcomed the group and shared updates on the company’s continued growth and innovation.
Based in Elberfeld, Indiana, Phenix Specialty Films manufactures specialty films used in food packaging, military rations, and industrial applications. In addition to manufacturing, the company provides engineering services, machine sales, preventive maintenance, and field service support for customers across the country.
Since E-REP’s previous Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) visit in 2024, Phenix has experienced remarkable growth. The company has more than tripled its workforce, expanded its operations, and successfully transitioned to a 100% employee-owned company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), reinforcing its long-term commitment to both its employees and the region.
Today, Phenix’s operations extend beyond specialty films to include engineering services, logistics, and aviation support, allowing the company to better serve customers while improving efficiency and responsiveness. Leadership also shared the company’s continued investment in advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and data-driven operations to support future growth.
