Our Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) team with the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership recently visited Green Plains in Mount Vernon to connect with their team and learn more about their operations.
Attendees included Kaylie Pruiett (E-REP), Bill Collins (Posey County Commissioner), Jeremy Durbin (CenterPoint Energy), and Andrea Lendy (IEDC). The group met with Plant Manager Mark Reznik.
Green Plains is a leading producer of fuel-grade ethanol, playing an important role in the region’s agribusiness and energy ecosystem. At their Mount Vernon facility, corn is processed into ethanol along with valuable co-products used in agriculture, renewable fuels, and pet food. These operations support local farmers, strengthen supply chains, and contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
During the visit, the team had the opportunity to learn more about daily operations, workforce needs, and the company’s continued focus on efficiency and growth. It was great to connect and discuss ways to support their long-term success in the Evansville Region.
We appreciate the Green Plains team for hosting us and for their continued investment in the region.
Through BR&E visits like this, we continue connecting with regional businesses to learn about their work, celebrate their impact, and ensure they have access to the resources they need to succeed.
