Our Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) team recently visited Matrix Design Group at its headquarters in Newburgh, Indiana, as part of our ongoing Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) program.
Matrix Design Group, a subsidiary of Alliance Resource Partners, develops advanced safety, communications, tracking, and productivity technologies that serve mining, industrial, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, and construction industries. The company is recognized for its innovative solutions that help improve workplace safety and operational efficiency.
Since our visit in 2024, Matrix has completed and occupied its new 40,000-square-foot headquarters facility in Newburgh and continues to invest in its Warrick County campus. The company is also constructing an additional testing and validation facility that will further expand its research, development, and product testing capabilities. These investments support Matrix’s continued growth and reinforce its long-term commitment to the Evansville region.
During the visit, company leaders shared updates on the company’s continued growth, ongoing product innovation, and efforts to expand its technologies into new industrial markets. The discussion highlighted Matrix’s commitment to developing solutions that enhance safety, productivity, and operational performance across a variety of industries.
The visit was hosted by Kevin Kerr, Vice President of Operations, and Shelly Collins, Human Resources. Participants included representatives from E-REP, Success Warrick County, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), the Southwest Indiana Workforce Board, and CenterPoint Energy. As the Regional Economic Development Organization (REDO) for Warrick County, E-REP works closely with local and state partners to support existing businesses, identify opportunities for growth, and connect companies with resources that strengthen long-term success.
E-REP appreciates the opportunity to partner with Success Warrick County and other regional stakeholders to support Matrix Design Group’s continued investment and growth in Warrick County. These collaborative visits help ensure companies have access to the resources, relationships, and support needed to thrive in the Evansville Region.
