We’re proud to celebrate Anu, an Evansville-based agricultural technology company, for winning first place in the SCORE 60th Anniversary National Pitch Competition held in Des Moines, Iowa.
Led by CEO Scott Massey, Anu was selected as one of just 10 finalists from over 2,200 applicants across the country. The competition, hosted by SCORE and powered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, recognized high-impact small businesses driving innovation and growth in their industries.
Anu’s winning pitch showcased their patented Rotary Aeroponics® system- a breakthrough in sustainable indoor farming that maximizes yield, reduces inputs, and uses AI-powered automation to optimize growing conditions. The company’s mission to transform local food systems through accessible, high-efficiency indoor agriculture strongly resonated with the judges.
The $20,000 award will help Anu expand its AI development team and protect its intellectual property as it continues to scale. Anu has also been recognized as a national finalist in the Global Entrepreneurship Network’s (GEN) Entrepreneurship World Cup in Indianapolis, advancing to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the global finals.
Scott Massey and the Anu team are shining examples of the entrepreneurial talent thriving in the Evansville region. Their innovation in controlled-environment agriculture is not only changing the way food is grown- but also putting our region on the map in the AgTech space.
Congratulations to Anu on this well-deserved national recognition!
