E-REP Hires Christy Powell as Community Development Director

“For almost two decades, Christy has served Warrick County in numerous roles – planning and zoning, transportation, economic development, grants, utility delivery, and revenue growth,” said Josh Armstrong, Chief Economic Development Officer of E-REP. “Her roles have required working closely with elected officials at all levels of government, contractors, and the public. These experiences and skills make her a natural fit for this important role.”

In her new role, Powell will work with local units of government, Indiana and federal departments, local nonprofits, and other economic development organizations to attract investments that make our region more attractive to business and create amenities that improve the lives of residents. In addition to the Town of Newburgh, Powell has also served in roles for the City of Boonville, the Warrick County Area Plan Commission, and the private sector. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

“I am excited to bring my experience working in local municipalities to E-REP and begin working to help all our communities with placemaking, talent attraction and retention, infrastructure improvements, and improving the overall quality of life for our citizens in this already great region,” said Powell.
