The Evansville region is READI!
The Evansville Region has a transformational vision to become the talent and economic region of choice in the Midwest. As the regional organization unified to advance the interested of business, the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP) in collaboration with the Southwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (SWIRDA) have officially submitted the region’s Regional Economic Acceleration + Development Initiative (READI) Regional Development Plan (RDP).
E-REP will update this page regularly with key announcements from both the state and region as they become available.

Southwest Indiana Regional Development Authority Prioritizes Strengthening Quality of Place Through READI Awards
The Southwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (RDA) obligated an additional $6 million in Regional Economic + Acceleration Development Initiative (READI) grant funds toward seven transformational projects. In total, the RDA has obligated more than $41 of the $50 million in total for projects throughout the Evansville region.

Evansville Region Awards $11.5 Million in READI Funds
The Southwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (RDA) obligated an additional $11.5 million of the $50 million total in Regional Economic + Acceleration Development Initiative (READI) grant funds to six transformational projects located throughout the Evansville Region. Since July, in total the RDA has allocated over 70% of the funds for the Evansville Region.

Evansville Region Officials Break Ground on $21 Million Workforce Housing Complex
Today, local officials and regional leaders gathered to break ground for a 144-unit apartment complex, known as “The District,” in Downtown Princeton. The $21 million workforce apartment complex is slated to open in Spring 2024 offering affordable, stylish, new housing in a location that will support employer needs and employee preferences.

Evansville Region Officials Break Ground on $21 Million Toyota Indiana YMCA
Today, partners in the Evansville region gathered to break ground for a 56,000 sq. ft. Toyota Indiana YMCA in Downtown Princeton. The $21 million facility is slated to open in Summer 2024 offering first-class amenities to residents and prospective talent interested in working for Toyota or its suppliers.
